Not personally Just her name and what she looks like. From how I understand it, she made it very far in her training but she never became a geiko which is a shame since she's very beautiful. But yes, she quit before she graduated to geiko status.

Yes, it's not common for many girls to make it to the Geiko (Kyoto Geisha) stage, that's why the debut of a geiko is such a big deal! ^^ But the fact that she made it all the way to becoming a senior Maiko is saying something. I know of a few girls who quit only a few months after they started their Maiko career. It's not an easy life at all, but the ones who stick with it are known to be quite happy with their careers.
