Description
I. Keuring Points for Bloodlines
- The horse receives 0.5KP for every complete generation in its pedigree (1 complete generation= parents, 2 complete generations= parents & grandparents)+
- The horse receives an additional 0.5KP for every KWPN registered horse in its pedigree
- The horse receives an additional 0.5KP for every KWPN Keur horse in its pedigree
- The horse receives an additional 1KP for every KWPN Preferent horse in its pedigree*
II. Keuring Points for Offspring
- The horse receives 0.5KP for every KWPN registered offspring
- The horse receives an additional 0.5KP for every KWPN Keur offspring
- The horse receives an additional 1KP for every KWPN Preferent offspring*
+ Only bloodlines of horses on Deviantart count. You cannot count real life horses used in your horse's pedigree, or made up horses who are not on DA
* Keur Horses in pedigree or offspring add 0.5KP. If this horse/offspring is then upgraded to Preferent you take away the 0.5KP previously received for Keur status and add the 1KP so the horses KP only increases by 0.5KP.
III. Keuring Points for Pictures (references, training pictures, breeding pictures, competition entries etc.)
- The horse receives 1KP for every shaded± or coloured full body picture of them (recoloured line arts do not count)
- Headshots or half body pictures that are shaded/coloured are worth 0.5KP
- The horse receives an additional 0.5KP if the picture has a background
- The horse receives an additional 0.5KP if the whole picture is shaded
- Collabs with other artists can also earn full KP
- Prize art, commissions, art payments or breeding pictures drawn by others count for half the KP they would be worth if drawn by the owner
- Fan and Gift art do NOT count for any KP
± The picture can either be flat coloured, or shaded in one colour/monochrome, e.g. a traditional piece in graphite pencil with shading.
IV. Keuring Points for Results
KP for results are added to the KP earned by the picture using the system above
- The horse receives 0.5KP for coming 1st or 2nd in a competition
- The horse receives 0.25KP for coming 3rd, 4th or 5th in a competition
- The horse receives an additional 0.25KP for any other titles such as Judge's Choice or Grand Champion, or Reserve Grand Champion
N.B. A placing can only earn points if there is at least 1 horse below your horse. So if a horse comes 2nd in a class of 2, no KP are earned.
Once your horse has earned 25KP, they are eligible to be registered with the KWPN as a KEUR horse
Once your horse has earned 40KP, AND is the sire or dam of at least 2 KWPN registered horses that between them have earned at least 30 Keuring Points, they are eligible to be registered with the KWPN as a PREFERENT horse

I think you should make a folder or status journal where people can post & edit if their horses are up for breeding, how much it costs, what the requirements for the breeding is, and rules for breeding so then people don't have to go through so much trouble PM'ing the person, scrolling through millions of horses, etc.

although this would be great for people looking, I think this would be a lot of hassle for owners to let us know whenever they change the horse's status. I think when looking, if you're confused about anyone's rules or a horse's status just send a polite pm.

yes. if it's a photo bg it can't earn the extra KP

What about images drawn by the old owner of a horse? (I bought the horse via art auction)

They still earn the same points for each image, maybe just note next to images drawn by them they are an old owner so we know it isn't an art trade or anything else
