Mmrrraaagghh!I couldn't help myself, I *had* to draw another character for the collab!
And a character that is awesome, and pretty under-rated, I must say.
Patrice Martinez as the afterlife receptionist, "Miss Argentina" from Beetlejuice.
Outfit and sash references in the movie are very scarce. I knew she didn't wear a dress, it's actually a corset and trouser-like-things. (When you see her knock on Juno's office door)
And I knew there was a date on her sash, but couldn't quite made it out, so went for 1983.
And the shoes, I made up, as you never see her feet. She now looks, er, genie-fied
Prismacolor pencil, Copic liners and brush pens, and Copic Ciao Markers on Bristol Board, with only white dots on her cape done in Photoshop

Oh, man, trying to draw something without ample references is the pits. Especially when all you've got to go on are freeze frames from the dvd or whatever and you realize that there's never a perfect shot of all the details you need. Nevertheless, this turned out great.
When I first saw this movie as a kid, I didn't get that the character had apparently committed suicide, so I was confused by her line about her "little accident." Still not sure how slitting one's wrists turns you green, though it certainly makes her rather eye-catching.

Yeah I always seem to find it tough without references. Having said that, I haven't done any "realistic" style drawings in quite a long time. I usually rely on screencaps as references.
Yeah, I never really understood her cause of death either until recently. That and what she meant by it all, and why the people in the waiting line laugh at her.

Oh this is great! I really do love this! Her outfit looks fantastic and I really dig the colors, especially of her skin! I like how you made her slash marks very noticeable.
I actually didn't know who she was when I first saw this, and then Beetlejuice came on TV the other day and I saw her and went "Ohhhh THAT'S who Donna drew!"
