I'm sitting in my room drawing things and I'm like OOH it's the 4th of July, I should draw an eagle or something (instead of continuing to flood my gallery with pictures of British actors? *shifty eyes*)

some people will tell you that liking America is a Bad Thing, or that NOT liking America is a Bad Thing, and there's all this politics and stereotypes and things in movies and people looking down on each other for various reasons and being super worried about saying the wrong thing or the right thing or anything

I like the place I live and the people I share it with, and after all the crazy stuff that goes on in the world I'm super glad it's still here. America is the place where I stay up late because I have to watch British actors solve mysteries on Netflix. America is the place where I spill chocolate chips all over my car because I want to eat some in the parking lot before I go home and end up accidentally exploding the bag. America is the place where I don't fit in with lots of people and really fit in with some people and keep trying anyway. It's pretty sweet.
