[I drew a screenshot that I thought illustrated the way Cap had a lot of support and Bucky had a lot of things taken away from him, none of them chose that, it just worked out that way, but it still worked out that way]
[kind of personal cos I spent college flopping around scared of everything without much support, I put in a lot of hard work but a lot of it went into staying afloat, and meanwhile other kids were secure enough that they were able to put their hard work into really cool progress, things that got them awards and lots of resume candy]
[I try not to be a bitter little shit but at least let me appreciate Bucky as someone who had to put most of his hard work into struggling to stay afloat too]
[....so anyway, I've gotten two requests to put this pic in clubs that ship them, and one comment about how awesome it was that Steve got to be a hero, like your suffering was important Buck but Cap got to be a hero!]
[by all means enjoy this how you want but to clarify, my need to draw this came from Bucky, all Bucky, just Bucky, ONLY BUCKY]
[I know Bucky becomes Captain America later in the comics, and they might do that for the movies, but for me he doesn't have to do a single thing more for his struggle to be important]
