No, not too dark! It is one of the few artworks on deviantart that's worth being watched in every detail. There is a first impression which is caused by the sharp and unsharp forms. There is a second impression caused by light. In my opition the light is just right. Because the highlights are dark, the picture gets a timeline. It is a very good feature for an artwork if it is changing when you are watching at it.

I really like the blur on what seems to be the end tails of her clothing and her cross-symbol weapons eh? But the figure can easily get lost in that darkness. I wish it showcased her more.
