Yeah they're pretty cool I just got them to agree to let me fly to North Carolina by myself for ten days in September to get WFR certified which is sweet

Yeah I'm pretty super excited about it. I'm doing it because there's no way I could start an outdoors club at my school and lead trips without being certified, since parents are paranoid, especially after all the accidents on wilderness trips this year and I'll also need it for future job opportunities in the outdoors, but I'm secretly just doing it because I think it sounds badass.

Ahhh you so should! I'm thinking of doing a NOLS semester in college, so you should look that up because they have some pretty sweet programs. Like next year I might do a month-long sea kayaking/backpacking trip in Norway.
I know what you mean though parents can be such nervous nellies I'm pretty lucky that mine are used to me disappearing into the woods for long periods of time by now.

Ahhh it's so cool that you want to do stuff outdoors though my friends here hate the idea they are such city people
I'm thinking of dragging them on a two-day backpack just for fun though

AH THAT'D BE SO QUALITY I'd just have to see how it'd work with SMU! If I couldn't do something with NOLS then I'm thinking of at least studying abroad for a semester in Italy or Australia or something (NORWAY UGGHHHHHH YOU WINNER)

I swear before the summer is out my cat and I are going for our own mini road trip (even if it's for a few hours) so we can both get out of the house! I just want to explore, and she's bored silly, so that'd make for an exciting adventure!!

Dude if I was in Cali right now I'd totally go backpacking with you! Do drag your friends out, I'm positive they'd have so much more fun than they'd expect!!!

Yeahhh NOLS is pretty sweet I am for sure hoping that works out for me because I really want to do it. THE PROBLEM IS I want a semester abroad tooooo and doing both might be too much ugh so many wants so little time but oh my god a semester abroad in Australia skldfjld want
