Okay, true story here. I had to take Evanita to the university to take in some paper work and as we were leaving, I spotted this Luna Moth on a tree. Well, Evanita decided to take it home to take more pictures of it. The poor thing had a messed up wing, so I really wasn't that interested in taking any pictures. Well, I had to stop at the library on the way home and she decides to take it in with her. It was clinging to her shirt and then it decided it wanted to sit on my arm and climbed up my arm and into my hair. LOL We went down this one isle to look for a book and then this thing started flying around the library! LOL Evanita runs down the isle after it and then when she got to the end of the isle, she turns around and looks at me like, what do I do now. I said, go get it and we're just giggling away. LOL So, she's running around the library and finally catches it and takes it outside. Everyone in the library probably thought we were a couple of nuts. LOL Anyways, after we got home she brought it inside and set it on the back of the couch so I decided to get a few close ups of it.Related content

I'm not sure if I want to meet both you and your daughter at the same time, you too might be more than I'd be able to keep up with. chasing moths. I'm too out of shape for that kind of thing. (one day, at cincy, i'm sure we'll meet. probably by coinicdence, and not realize it untill after we get home)

did she get outside to lay her eggs?
i recently found a pair of them mating, got a good picture before i caught them (i'll post it soon)
I now have approximately 300 eggs that i'm planning to raise (i'm certainly letting some go, 300 of those caterpillars would eat way more than i could keep up with)

I just remembered that when I was in highschool, I made a beaded pin of a luna moth that looked pretty close to the real one....I had found some seed beads that matched the colors pretty close. I think I gave it to mom for Mother's Day...

Shhhhh! Quiet in the library. Bunch of nuts. You probably embarrased the moth; it will be too ashamed to ever show it face in a library again. Nice shot, though.

LOL We are a couple of nuts. LOL I did notice that they have made an addition to the sign on the door, it now reads no food or drinks or big green moths. LOL
