She was one of my favourite characters so far. Mother of Shenzi and Ed and a leader of hyena clan, but not some lazy written crazy-haired, super-evil hyena we see in alike stories. Loving and caring to her familly, ruthless to her enemies. To explain her disappearance she got separated on a hunt and badly hurt. Her leg healed but never fuly recovered. She wasn't able to walk properly anymore so she gave the leadership to her daughter, but she stayed unde protection of her clan as greatly respected matriarch and advisor.
