Epiphone Firebird Studio in Worn Cherry. Made in Indonesia. When Gibson was trying to prove that it was a forward thinking company back in the early "60's. the Les Paul was a good design, but it looked too traditional for some artists. So Gibson tapped auto designer Ray Dietrich to make something special.

Thus was born the Firebird! A futuristic Rock machine that endures to this day!

Unlike the original Firebirds, this one has a solid mahogany body and a set neck, like an SG, or a Les Paul. the original Firebirds had an innovative neck-through design where the wood went completely through the middle of the guitar. the "wings" were added to flesh out the shape of the body.

This particualr model sports regular humbucker pickups, and unique Steinberger gearless tuners. A different and fun guitar to play! =^^=
