EDIT* I didn't know you couldn't download the image before, finally found the time to upload the old file- it's bigger now.enjoy.
Thats it, my last Potter sketch. I'm clean again.

I decided to work this one more and put some colors on it (as I'm using it for as class assignment),
took so long to come up with the a perspective angle for the hall that will work with the scene..
please don't point me out on the details I spent most of the time creating a convincing enough hall that will resemble the one in the movies..
in case it is not clear- Harry potter was made and owned by the amazing JK Rolling, that is why there is no print option for this.
all done in PS cs3

Thats how I invisioned the last scene too, but the movie was like: "let's do it outside while everyone is fighting inside!"

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow! this is just.. woow! when I was reading the book, I saw it, exactly the same way. the whole thing happening. it's amazing. great job. The movie should have ended like this, I think Voldemort's dead would have been better if he just had fallen on the floor, at the center of the Great Hall, and everybody would be wondering if he was really dead, if was the end.

Excellent except that in the books also the Great Hall has been quite damaged by the battle and here it looks just as fine as always. Save for this important detail it is absolutely fantastic. Love it!

I had seen this picture on a video dealing with the Deathly Hallows, but there were so many artists credited at the end of it that I gave up finding it from there. And looking at randoms favorites of someone here on Devianrtart... Here it is again!!
I just wished they had kept the final battle within the Great Hall, just to see this image in motion. Great pic!

thanks. I agree, The thing I missed the most in the movie was the final dialogue between Harry and 'the dark lord', in front of everyone. It was a huge closure they just ignored in the movie.
