Training with mermaids can be challenging. Mermaids and humans don't swim the same way, with different speeds and different needs in case of an emergency. There'd be a lot of acclimatization between the two groups to ensure that they know each other's limits and abilities so that they know when they can and can't rely on each other

This was based on a discussion I had with SlingBlade87 , whom I often go to for advice as I figure/stumble out the story of SEAL Team 9.

Then I suddenly had this idea in mind on Friday, a pose of two characters together suspended midwater, and damn whatever obligations I had at the time I decided to sketch it out and it just snowballed from there. Part of this was also to address my crippling fear of drawing legs and feet. While not 100% as I'd envisioned I'm rather happy with how quickly this turned out.

Another rather spontaneous personal piece while I'm trying to get through my commissions.
