He takes hold of what used to be,
Laying limp in his arms,
He leant forward, kissing her,

His words lay delicately on her lips,
Bringing life back into the body,
That once lay still upon the rocks,

Holding her close for the last time,
He slips her body into the lake,
Calming the rushing water,
Leaving her at peace with the world.
