Blind luck that the wonderful judges liked it just that tiny bit more than the other awesome images submitted - I looked at them and thought mine was crap to be quite honest... *grin*

I didn't think it was crap at all and am all with the judges in this case but I often have the feeling that judges are very unpredictable. Often I vote for images that I find outstanding and they never make it to the top because others don't seem to share my taste and those that don't impress me much get top scores

Wonderfully abstract. This gradient (Tom's) really works well with the pattern. Lots of contrasts and movement in the pattern. Excellent composition as well. Well done!!
