Hi there. I'm not sure if you've already thought of this but I have some ideas on why each girl was cast as a given Diamond.
Scarlett is Yellow Diamond because on the surface they're well known for their superior intelligence and judgement even if they come off as cold hearted. Though underneath they're both aggressive and ill tempered when things don't go as planned.
Crimson is Blue Diamond because of her ominous appearance which relates to Blue's Sith like wardrobe. From Garnet's flashback, she is seen to speak calmly keeping up her graceful appearance. This is like Crimson whenever she speaks.
Zoey is Pink Diamond because her role as a naive nice girl relates to Pink being the newest and youngest of her Diamond sisters. Zoey is also able to gain any sympathy should anything bad happen to her which is how most Homeworld gems remember Pink Diamond and how tragic her death was.
And finally, Heather is White Diamond because much like how White is considered higher ranking and original compared to Blue and Yellow, Heather is the original villain/mean girl of Total Drama and is always respected for being the first.
And that would explain why each girl was picked for their Diamond counterparts. What do you think?
