i had a hard time to deal with this red part.
when i go down the saturation, this red stands out way too much.
if i go down more, red gets so black and looks dirty.
moreover, i may loose pale colors on other petals.
so i just added blue on this red part to kill REDness and to balance with others.
i am really glad you like the result.

almost all of my orchid photos were taken with sunlight at greenhouse.
but this one i shot in my office with flash lights.
it was fun to do with flash lights.

as you may know, this is a bic orchid and has long petals.
i used wide lenz (20mm) instead of macro lenz (60mm) to capture how dynamic this orchid is.

i used flash to make contrast to an image so it won't look flat. i took in several different settings and i liked this one.
