who do you get those incredible drop shots, can you post a tutorial on actually the setup of this like flashes camera , lights , light boxes , acrylic surface or whatever you use?

then you can get an idea how to get crisp water shot.
you do not need light box, acrylic surface for this.
and compare to water wave, this is easier to get better result.
lighting and setup is the same, and i use acrylic ice cube to make splash.
you can start dropping it from different directions, buut, not just drop, more like shoot into the glass by force.
then you will get the result like this.

i shot over 500 shots for this.
it is like fashion model photo shoot.
there are very small difference in each shot,
taking more you have more to choose.
and first 100 shots were out of focus.
it is funny, but for this shot, i had to focus a bit further than usual to get perfect focus. i think the thickness of the glass would be counted for this close up macro.
everyday, we can learn something.

I find it amazing that people can time these things properly. Liquids really are amazing, they take practically any shape.

you can use the sound for the perfect timinig.
if you do several hundred times, you will know it.
now i can shoot every 2 seconds or so, and i took over 500 shots for this one shot.
