A fusion of Rutilated Quartz! and Charoite! , my children.

I designed this when I didn't have a tablet pen and I kept going back to stare at it in my sketchbook.

Not gonna lie, this is more based on the canon versions of their characters than the gemsona au, but fite me.

Turquoise is a very stable fusion, although due to their strange limb arrangement you could be forgiven for thinking otherwise. They're.....sort of in mourning. This fusion demonstrates the baggage both carry, but they are able to use that baggage to make themselves stronger. Similarly, being together brings out aspects - optimism, innocence - of themselves they both thought were long gone. Being Turquoise is therapeutic for both of them, although RQ will seldom admit it, and refrains from sharing this much of himself from anyone. They sometimes take being Turquoise as an opportunity to say things to their friends that they can't say while alone.

I haven't decided on what Charoite or RQ's weapons are yet, but they're both good fighters so Turquoise would be an excellent one. Their various legs allow them to wrestle - their middle set alternately are used for gut-punching and using their weapon. They are able to 'walk' on all three sets of limbs for stealthiness or swimming, but it strains their neck. They are meant to stand upright, and nothing keeps them down for long.

Turquoise is chill with any pronouns, and their sexuality is very torn because Charoite and RQ's respective crushes are very much suppressed while they're unfused. So, like most of the things they deny themselves, said crushes come to the forefront while they are Turquoise. So, Turquoise is a blushy mess around Rose or River. Being around one of their crushes is the most common cause of Turquoise accidentally defusing.
