I know I've tried so many times to "finish" the game but there's no end to it just endless cycles of fun and mayhemΒ

This is why I've procrastinated activating it. Dawnbreaker will be pretty, eye color will be in depth... LET'S NOT TALK ABOUT LANDACAPES!
I'm gonna go activate it, then.

Well, I had a free special edition, but I still keep playing with my old version since you can't keep the old mods with the new one :/
Or perhaps we can?

There are mods being transported in the Nexus Mods, so mods like Immersive Armors and what not are available as we speak though there are some mods that wont be available till the authors upload it to the SSE Nexus or someone else will take the mods from long inactive modders that haven't update or abandoned their mods for years.
Though truth be told, I dont really see much of a point for PC Skyrim Special Edition XD

Yeah, SSE "does" improve some things from the original, but somehow it feels more like they just gave the original a fresh coat of paint. Like the way I see it, Skyrim and Skyrim SSE is like an old house. Cracks everywhere, things placed here and there that doesnt make sense, it's livable but there are places that are better. What Bethesda did to it was just add a fresh coat of paint. Ignoring the cracks, ignoring the cheap decor, and just added a few bits and pieces here and there for people to slightly notice like how you can boil still water with fire magic.
I'm literally making a comparison between the old modded Skyrim to the unmodded Skyrim Special Edition right now, starting with the water lol

Well, I,m not of those who are against neither am I for it. In some way, I don't really care.
Its a masterized version, of course they didn't do anything hels than just repaint it.
If you had it for free becoz you already had have a special edition before and you just love the new paint they did and it's okay for you, well good. Go for it.Β
If you don't have it yet but have the old version, I would tell you to not spend money on it. Just take a mods instead, its free ( though you can also donate a lil to the person who did the mod so it may help him/her) .
Like I said I dont really care.

I'm not against it either, I love the game as much as anyone else. I just thought there should've been more into it other than just new paint. Things like the meshes of chains are still unaffected, there's still the infamous bugs that were in the old version, it just feels like some sort of cash grab for console players because they installed modding capabilities for them which really disappoints me but that's industry in a nut shell lol.
It even dumbfounds me for the PC port which is the same issue with the console players. Why is it that the mod makers have to fix their mistakes, that they had the time to fix or improve? I dont know, maybe they'll make a patch for SSE even though it's been like five years since the original. I dont know, it's a fun game I'll give it that, but it has its flaws that I wished were looked on to make SSE actually feel more special.
