Description

Phineas Mason aka "Tinkerer", old yet brilliant scientist and inventor who worked with Adrian Toomes's Company. When Norman Osborn stole some of Toomes Flying tech to his name and ruined his company, Toomes took role of Vulture and joined together with other company members, Phineas Mason, Herman Schultz and Abner Jenkins. Together they started to scavenge and steal high tech from OsCorp, Stark Enterprise, Tricorp and other companies and either repurpose it to themselves or just sell it in black market. When Vulture was defeated by Spider-Man and arrested, rest of the Vultures group, (Mason, Schultz and Jenkins) took all the remaining tech and fled under the radar.

While Schultz and Jenkins later resurfaced as supervillains, Shocker and Beetle, Mason decided to work behind front lines and use his skills to create and repair gadgets and weaponry of other supervillains with the codename Tinkerer. As long as his customer can pay, he doesn't mind who he will serve. Occasinally he also repairs broken appliances in his freetime. While he doesn't fight directly he does use powered armor to boost his physical strenght to help him with work. His most important weapon/friend/bodyguard/means of transportation is his big robot-mecha named TOY.

While Tinkerer might not be that interesting villain, he is still very important to underworld. I mean not all supervillains are smart enough to fix/upgrade their own tech so its good that theres someone who does. Also, Tinkerer often repurposes some scrap material and broken tech for his inventions, so at least he knows how to recycle stuff.

TOY (standing in background) is based on Tinkerers henchman-robot from the older comics and its color-scheme is inspired from Miles Morales's Tinkerer.
