Personality:
Noriko is a lot different from her predecessor. She is a serious young lady, a young dragon trying to come into her own. She's a hardworker with a lot of self-imposed rules, and rules that must be followed at her newly aquired shrine. While she might seem like she's got everything together, the reality is that she's naive and woefully unprepared for a lot of what life is. It's easy to fluster and tease her, and she isn't really as perfect as she would like others to believe. Still, she's determined to make the shrine a respectable establishment.

Backstory:
Dragons being born is a rare thing in this particular species.

Noriko's family was blessed with her and her older sister, two dragon children to one family. They all welcomed Noriko with open arms into their lavish estate, and from her birth, she would never know what it meant to be 'poor'. She would however, know the meaning of a good day of work.

While rich and well off, and full of love, Noriko's parents did not want to raise their children to be lazy. Instead, they would work for most things they would want. For Noriko, this meant books and fancy telescopes to watch the sky. For her sister, it meant her music and ability to go out with friends. Nori would rather spend her days inside, and was not the most sociable of kids. She did do her work properly and excelled in school, so her parents didn't have much ground to complain, but they wished she'd try to have friends.

When her sister left at 18, it rocked the Shibata household. While it was perfectly acceptable for her to go off on her own, their parents didn't want to see her go- they thought she ought to at least stay for her college schooling. But her sister left, leaving Noriko. Not that Noriko minded, her sister was always too loud anyways, and Noriko preferred to be alone. She wasn't hurt even a little bit.

After her own schooling finished, Noriko was gently pushed out by her parents to get some life experience. They pushed her in the direction of an old shrine that had been run over by demons, saying that this would be a good starting point. A lot of different beings and crazy things seemed to be around this particular shrine, and they thought Noriko needed it in her life.

So, she 'ran out' the demon masquradeing as a shrine maiden and took her place. It would take a lot of working to get this shrine up and running properly.

But Noriko was up to the challenge.

She fully intends to renovate the shrine

It's not so clear why Rei left, but there are rumors that Noriko actually won one of Rei's rigged games, forcing the kitsune to leave
