From my Primal Carnage: Extinction RP.

Spectre the Dilophosaurus used to be a strong-willed individual, just looking to regain happiness after his human mother died and he was accidentally let loose into the wild. He was determined, stubborn, and although physically weak, he didn't go down without a fight. Life in the wild was very difficult, but despite the hardships, he continued in the hopes that his perseverence and hard work would pay off someday.

Then Novas entered the picture. Faced with constant vicious abuse by these monsters for no other reason than for the shits and giggles, it all began to chip away at him. For a while, he would fight back (although his best efforts were always in vain) and when the torment was over he would pick himself up and push himself on. Endure. But over time, over a period of years, it began taking longer to get back up. Brutal torture, constant backstabbing by those he trusted, and losing his loved ones, all one right after the other, soon became too much for him to bear and he broke under the weight of it all. After years of this, he's given up on life. Wanting to die, but unable to stay dead due to a curse placed on him by one said traitorous "friend".

Lotus is a very young Dilophosaurus, daughter of my character Hollow, whom was abandoned by her mother simply for being a Dilo. Placed under the adoptive care alongside her fellow abandoned Dilo siblings, it was short-lived as she became the only survivor when her new family was slaughtered. She was then given to Spectre, in a last ditch attempt to give him purpose in life. A purpose other than being a "toy", as he puts it.

Spectre is convinced that little Lotus will die, just as his own children had perished, but he has powerful parental instincts, powerful enough to just barely break through the cloud of utter defeat and hopelessness. Seeing himself as expendable, he will do anything to ensure the well-being of his new baby. Although he's severely emaciated, he reserves almost all the food for her and even going so far as feeding her chunks of his own body when there was no other food left.

But despite it all, the bond between them is extremely powerful and they have become inseparable, Spectre using what little strength he has left to protect her and give her the utmost care. She is thriving and happy, her innocent baby mind blissfully unaware of her new father's struggles.

With the help of a few friends, he is slowly making a recovery from his severely weakened state. But although his body will heal, the scars will always remain for the rest of his life. I really do hope the best for my little Dilo.
