Description The ride home from Santa Cruz, California...

Oftentimes, one of the places we stop is San Luis Reservoir in
Pacheco Pass. It is actually quite beautiful, though historically it was waters backed up for reserve and piped all the way down to Los Angeles, California to help in the needs there, except, of course we have had drought and shortage here as well in these recent years, and the waters have not been to the waterline in years.

There are trails for hiking and a couple places of info. centers and recreation along the reservoir, as well.

When I first came to DA, among my first uploads were 4 San Luis Reservoir photos, and I think two of them were the first to catch a bit of attention.

It's interesting to see how the look of this place can change with the season, the daily sky, and water levels.

PART II Artistic Santa Cruz- a necessary therapeutic photo art project.

******
Near the end of Summer, August 2008, we took a very brief trip to Santa Cruz, California.

Santa Cruz has always been my true home, as in the place where I've always felt and been the most "at home"-- I've always wanted to actually make it my real home since the first time I was taken there at the age of 3.

Though, it is the single most place I ever go to, from wherever I have actually lived, this particular time turned into:

Artistic Santa Cruz- a necessary therapeutic photo art project.

It is amazing how you do this. I see the picture appear and I take a breath in suddenly, and it just won't go out again for a moment. That is the definition of 'breathtaking'. You're amazing. You capture such stunning shots.

I've never broken down the word "breathtaking" before! WOW, and for the love of words, not putting that one through the wringer yet.

Your support and encouragement has been what is amazing. You are impressive in many ways, in your own artistic rite, but these supportive ways, written word, I feel blessed that our paths have crossed.

I'm sorry I was so late for this...

I'm just now finally catching up in comments and replies... and I admit to you, that there are a lot in general, since I was away and out of town for a bit and dealing with some pretty big things...

while in the midst yet of most of those dealings, at least I'm back in town, and can be on here more again...

But I was surprised by how much everything has piled up around here, I think more so than at any other time that I've had to do catch-up, wow!

I'm sorry I missed it, I'm sure there'll be another chance for me??

I hope I don't miss it, though. Thanks so much though, you're very kind-hearted to me.

"long journey" wow, hmmm yes, in so many ways... my life seems very much so as such, 2008 and it's unique issues, perhaps it's how I feel about the last 2-5 years... but I guess, yes, more to the point of meaning the pressing need to get away the particular weekend to Santa Cruz.

I'm glad you got to witness it, what a wonderful thing to say! I'm happy to share it.
