Description Because I promised recipes for everyone!
Here's what you need for this dish. :3 Just as a fair warning, it's a decent amount of food, so feel free to adjust it.

- 1lb of Bacon
- 3 or 4 Honeycrisp (or any type of apple that bakes well and has a slight tartness- it helps to look up which types work best based on what's cheapest or locally grown as well)
-About 1/4 cup of Brown Sugar
- 1 tablespoon of cinnamon or teaspoon of chili powder
- 3 Tblsp of Butter (salted or unsalted)
- 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast
- salt to taste
- parsley (optional) to garnish

You will also need a frying pan, a baking sheet, aluminum foil (optional, but it definitely makes cleaning all that grease easier), forks, cutting knives, and a spatula if you don't want scratch the crap out of your cookware. It also helps if you have an oven and range since that's what people normally cook with. :Y But if you're that much of a traditionalist, you likely don't use the internet, I digress.

Preheat the oven to 400oF, and line a baking pan with aluminum foil. Cut the chicken breast into large, manageable strips and salt lightly. Slice apples into eighths (and for those that need the reminder, take out the core, stem, seeds, bottom, etc...), and wrap one strip of bacon around each slice. Once all the slices have been wrapped, place them evenly on the baking pan. Season the slices with brown sugar and cinnamon. In a medium or large fry-pan, melt a tablespoon of butter over medium/medium-high heat, and lay down the chicken strips. Reduce the heat to medium and sear the chicken until slightly brown on each side but without cooking all the way through. Use any remaining bacon strips to wrap around the chicken strips and place them on the same pan as the apple slices. Take the remaining two tablespoons of butter and cut in to thin slices about half a centimeter in thickness at the most. Distribute the butter slices evenly over the baking pan. Once the oven preheated, place the apples and chicken into the oven for ten minutes, or until the top side of the bacon has browned or crisped. Flip the apple slices, and chicken strips over to ensure even cooking of the bacon and bake for another ten minutes, or until the bacon has completely cooked. Be careful of the grease, it pops up and it burns! D: Take the baking pan out of the oven and place on an unused stove burner/heating element to cool. Allow the grease to drain off the slices and strips when serving and sprinkle parsley and any remaining cinnamon over the dish to garnish. Enjoy with a warm serving of apple sauce on the side and as a dipping sauce for the chicken and a glass of iced cider or a warm cup of tea.

Aaaaanywho, I hope I mentioned everything I needed to about this recipe. x3 I don't want people trying this and telling me I missed a step. But if anyone gets to try it, lemme know what you think! C: Hopefully the picture makes it look appetizing enough.
As a side note, if you want to help the crisping process for the bacon, honey does not caramelize in the oven, it browns very easily, so you can use some lightly over the bacon to help it brown and crisp faster to keep anything else from over-cooking. ^^

Enjoy~!

it's not like it's extremely hard to make, it's just really time consuming. I have my fair share of pre-cooked meals too.

Heh maybe I could've dressed it up a bit, but regardless, it's probably one of my favorite things to make now. A definite keeper in the recipe book. Glad you think it looks good! If you try it, let me know what you think!

xD It was! I'm gonna make more sometime this week. It's a nice combination of sweet, tart, and salty. It works surprisingly well. It's too bad you don't like bacon; you're missing out. Maybe my next dish will be bacon free.

Sir, if I like peanut butter and olive sammiches, I'm sure I'll like bacon and apples.

Apple and bacon are actually a classic and well paired flavor combination!
