I've been listening a lot to the vocaloid song, Persecution Complex Cellphone Girl, which is one of my favorite vocaloid songs, sung by Gumi (Though I'm also a fan of the English dub version by Joydreamer).Β And upon searching on it on here, I realized that it doesn'tΒ have a whole lot of artwork. So I made a desktop wallpaper for it. It was fun. I might have to draw more for it.I am pretty happy with how this turned out; I actually believe this is the first time I've managed to draw a picture in a serious anime style and have it actually turn out the way I want it to. I tried hard to capture the emotions of the girl singing the song in the picture, and while I'm not exactly sure I succeeded, it still turned out well.

Wow, the shading is very good in this one. I also really like the color scheme. The only thing I can see that looks wrong is that the finger knuckles look a bit to sharp, as if they had been cut off. The rest looks really good and the mood is great

I realized after the fact that I had probably put the camera in the wrong place, but I chose to ignore it. xP I also spent a long time on the thumb,and ultimately decided this was the best I could pull off. Hopefully the next time I try to do something like this, I'll be able to do even better. ^^

Did you take a reference for the hand too? I personally felt nothing wrong with the camera angle though, just the thumb. You have drawn fingers very nice, and I have drawn hands so i know it is very hard to make them right

I sort of used my own hand as a reference. I held a phone in that hand, studied it, and then drew it. I probably didn't study the thumb as much as I should of have.
And by 'camera', I meant the little red light on the phone. ^^
