Ugh I hear you about improving on colouring. We all need to have an art date, I may be able to give some pointers. I think maybe once you've earned some paychecks and what not and are more financially where you'd like to be, maybe branch out and try some different materials and brands? There may be something out there that gives you a better feel when colouring.

Hmm well water colours are super fun! You just have to use different paper. Markers are uber fun, but to get the good ones is pricey, and the cheap ones don't blend and leave those ugly layering lines. Ink is really fun (actual ink that you paint with, not pens). I've done paper layering projects and they are a blast! Prisma pencils are good and give a different look from what we normally use. There are so many options! I love art dates! I love being around artsy people, its fun xD

I keep wanting to have a go at the water color again, btw, but I have SUCH a hard time defining lines. It all looks so light and washy. >:C

A trick I learned was outlining with a white crayon, that separates the paint and forms a more solid line.

Wait... Seriously?
I guess... Well, that wax would make a barrier. O.O Intriguing.

Haha yes! I learned it a few years ago, I thought it was a brilliant way to use the white crayon.

I enjoy the concept and coloring. My only problem would be the jawline, and how thick the neck is. The jawline seems odd, and the neck seems a bit too thick [aesthetically speaking]. If the neck was thinned a bit, and the jawline tweaked, I wouldn't have any problem. Just something to keep in mind the next time you draw~
