40 upcycled resistors in every color of the rainbow, cascading in gorgeous rainbow spiral clusters, comprise these eco-friendly, sophisticated, subtly geeky cluster earrings. The colorfully striped computer electronic components progress through the spectrum as they descend: red, orange, yellow, mossy green, grass green, teal, blue, lavender, and purple. The 9 different types of resistors each possess a unique combination of background and stripe colors (stripe colors represent the resistance and tolerance values) and were hand selected from hundreds of thousands of surplus electronic components for their beauty and brilliance.

These radiant earrings are composed of the most exquisite pieces of our massive computer parts collection, a dangling explosion of color that will leave others in awe of your unique, elegant, tech-savvy style. The earrings are approximately 3" long and are feather-light.

Combined with their matching LED in a Glass Bottle Good Luck Necklace and Resistors Ladder Bracelet
the set radiates high tech, classy sophistication with a tasteful touch of computer nerdiness.

Note: like all upcycled hand-crafted geekery, each piece is unique and may vary slightly from the pictures shown.

There is a unique story behind every Techcycled creation, and each piece will come beautifully packaged with a little card telling its tale. Free gift wrap and card are available upon request.

Any recycle your electronics donation sort of places or a computer parts store where parts don't work anymore, and places like that where you can pull the pieces out of the boards and stuff.

just out of curiosity, where do you find the resistors?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Techcycle In reply to feyodic [2012-01-26 23:43:26 +0000 UTC]

I get the resistors from ridiculous amounts of digging around in surplus electronics store bins in the LA area. Can't reveal more than that, because it's my secret sauce.
