Every time a kishin was killed, it's body would transform into a soul, and it would pop up where they used to be, and every time a human dies due to a kishin, their soul pops out, but the body stays. So does that means that she's still...

Stein: No... her shell is gone *looks at the slash wounds* But her soul may still be alive. If I am correct, you may still be able to resonate and see where her soul might be.

*Suddenly a Kishin soul comes out of nowhere and attacks soul It's jack the ripper* I know he died but I can't think of another monster name lol

*Jack the ripper's soul floats up but it looks somehow odd, sort of darker and more gross than a regular kishin soul*
Soul: Have to resonate with maka... but how can you resonate with a soul that's outside of it's body?

*suddenly kid shows up with liz and patty*
Liz: Oh wow. what happened here?
Soul: Some kishin soul got into death city. it nearly sliced me too but- *soul puts his hand on his check where jack sliced him but there's nothing there*
Patty: *looks confused*
Kid: Soul, Professor stein and Death Scythe would like to see you, they have some questions.

Soul: Alright, but what about Maka? I don't know if I should move her or...
Kid: It's okay, we'll bury her-
Soul: She's not dead, she's just...I don't know, unconscious, I guess...

Soul: Ok then, I'll see you there in a minute, I've got to go to my apartment.*hops on motorcycle* don't you dare die, Maka, he says in head.
*Heads to apartment to get something, then goes back to DWMA, outside of Death Room*
Soul: sigh...I wonder what's gonna happen next...
*opens door*

*In the death room stands Lord Death and Dr. Stein*
Death: I'm sorry we had to meet under such grim circumstances. Please. Take a seat.
Soul: I'm sorry lord death, but I don't have time, Maka's soul-
Sten: It's not Maka's soul we're worried about, It's yours.
Soul: You don't understand I- What?
Death: Kid tipped us off about what you said about Maka's soul, and we've got people looking, but for right now we need to worry about you. You and you Meister had a very powerful soul link, but now that the link is missing, maka's soul is no longer there to match and balance your soul's increased resonance rate.
Stein: WhatΒ we're trying to say is, that if we don't find her soul soon, both you and her will die.

Stein: You heard me, if you don't find her soul, you and Maka will both die.
Soul out his hands on his head, and thought to himself "why is this happening"Β
Soul: Okay...is there some sort of time limit, or something?Β
Stein: Hmm, you should feel a pain in your chest, and it will grow depending on how long it will take for you to find her soul.
Soul: Do you have any idea where it might be?
Stein:Sorry, I don't know, but I'm still looking too. I'll tell you once I've found a clue. For now, try looking for Β where kishins would probably be.
Lord Death: Good luck, Soul!Β

Soul quickly turns around, and starts sprinting towards the exit, feeling a bit of pain in his chest.

*sees random weapon and meister pair working together* Soul resonance... but can I do that?

Liz: What happened? any news?
Soul: Not much, Her soul is still missing, and the only way I can figure out how is to resonate with her. But can I still do that if she's...
Kid: I'm not exactly sure if anyone has tried it. But perhaps there's a chance it could be done. Meet us in one hour and perhaps we can all reach out to find her. Is here anything else.
Soul: *feels another pain in chest.* No... nothing.

*kid, Liz, and patty run inside DWMA*
Soul: *inside head* damn...will we even survive in a hour...? Ah, doesn't matter, I have to find her soul! But where should I look? Maybe I should look by the crime scene.
*drives towards scene on motorcycle and arrives*

after five minutes he gives up,
Soul: Damn it! I can't find anything! How come there aren't any clues?!
*sits down, and touches liquid*
Soul: Wait, what's this? *looks at hand*
This is blood! Is this Maka's or..? Wait, a blood trail! Maybe it's the blood of whoever took Maka's soul!
* he stands up and starts following the trail while jogging, and feels another pain in his chest, bigger than the last two*

Oni: You're time is ticking away soul... like sand in an hourglass. How long do you think you have hmm? *chuckles*Β

*trail of blood goes into some of the darker passageways of Death City*
Soul: Oh hell, if i get caught out here I'm dead. But if i don't follow the trail It might be too late. Man. *runs deeper into the alleys* I can't afford to loose my chance now.Β

Soul scans the area around him, feeling more nervous every step he takes. All of a sudden, he hears screams, and a window shattering. Soul runs forward to see what was happening. He watches as lupin the thief (couldn't think of anyone either lol) jumps down from the shattered window. he lands easily, keeping his grip on the small bag he's carrying, and runs towards the alley in Soul's direction.
Soul: Hey you! What's in the bag?!
*lupin's surprised, and starts to turn around but soul tackles him, and opens up the bag*
Soul: What the hell? (Bag's full of souls) How many people did you-"
*shoves soul off of him and tries taking the bag back! but soul doesn't let go*
Soul: You bastard, let go! *kicks Lupin in the face, then turns arm into scythe and stabs him in the chest*
