Description
The cultural inspiration is Mesoamerican in nature. When I have trouble sleeping, my artistic mind gives me waking visions some times (evidently to keep me entertained), and this guy popped up behind my eyelids. The feathers are representative of respendant quetzal feathers, beautiful sacred birds that they were to those cultures. I researched these further and gave the mask my own spin on a death mask.

8 hours, Super Sculpey, Jacquard pearls and um, some kind of liquitex varnish.
