Thanks everyone I used cross stitch on plastic canvas. I then threaded a jump ring through one of the holes in the canvas and then attached that to a pre made phone charm that you can buy at most craft stores. If you want any more info on how to make any of the pieces then just let me know and i'll see if i can find some useful guides The pattern for the pokeball can be found here : [link]
