OK people.I'm just sick of art thieves. Dun wanna debate this with anyone, but I can't stand it. Yknow after specifically telling people I don't want my stuff posted in places I don't give my permission, and having people say "Omg, I've seen this art everywhere and now I've found it here!!" it gets me freakin mad right the *#!@)* off!!@
I also get especially angry searching around and finding my arts EDITTED, usually to make the pairing in the picture something else. THAT IS JUST PLAN SH*TTY! It's crap to find out that my 18+ fan comics are being uploaded in all sorts of places where ANYONE could view it!! It's even stupider to have somebody ask to see my comic and think that SOMEONE ELSE drew it! Gawddamn, if you want to see it so bad get the freakin ARTIST right!! (BTW I'm not releasing Laundry Love anymore)
Or even worse, when someone takes your art, uploads it as their own and says that YOU were the one who stole it!! (happened to my sister)
Anyway.. yeah I haven't drawn Ranma 1/2 in a loong time, but I thought it suited the mood I'm in.

Well, personally don't care, If I se mine elsewhere, it makes me feel like they liked my picture enough to use it. It's not like I'm gonna apply to any art schools, (Future doctor here) But even if that were the case, mostschools won't except portfolios that have had something on the internet, so my good friend can't ever post anything.
But the issue with your comics, that does suck...

Nicely done art! Spot -on character designs!
I'm fortunate (so far) that I haven't been thieved from, but I know a guy in the LIARS Club (Long Island Auto Replica Society - It's a model car club) who is into drawing cartoony, pin-up-style girls, and caricatured, blown hot rods...
Needless to say, his hot rod art has *magically* shown up on other car club's T-Shirts...We have one of his cars for our club logo, but he was wondering how/where the other pieces of art got out...
At this point, he seems more sad than outraged.
I COULDN'T do that...my pride would get in the way. I wouldn't be able to say 'I did it!'
Is there a way...to gather...all the arts submitted to DA...so it would be easier to start picking out paintovers and copies? There are SO many people here it seems like the possibility of hitting an art thief for thieving is low...

Meh, we have had our art taken too. I mean it's cool if you want to save the images we make and keep them on your desktop for your own collection to see every now and then. But posting them on another site? Not cool at all...sucks to see your own art on another website.

This has happened to me too and I feel for you, but these thieves do get caught. Ever since I had the experience though, it made me very aware of how serious the problem is. Everyday, I see art that is clearly. What's worse is that it's not just the art of other deviants that get stolen. It's also official art and people draw or paint over it, or trace it. That is enough. These art thieves need to be caught and reported.

I hate art thieves.
I know all about that one. I usually find a lot of my stuff featured on youtube in an AMV, which some I gave permission and others I did not. The ones that piss me off the most are the ones that take my KagomexKurama pictures and COMPLETELY edit Kagome in MS Paint and make an AMV for Kurama and their "Original" character.
That and apparently some of my Sailor Moon stuff has been found on various SM forums, and other deviantART accounts either claiming that its theirs or they found it randomly (with my watermark wtf) =_= and my poses are copied (which a lot I find aren't proportional enough to even consider copying)
I'm sorry to hear this has happened to you and your sister as well, but I guess it happens to the best of artists *sigh*

Ohh art thieves are annoying *grr* I remember that one that claimed Glay stole the image from her. HA! Didn't even get her facts straight! I started laughing when I read that she had drawn it back in 2001 - when Tala's outfit and Garland didn't even exist and she magically got them right! Wow how did she do that? *sarcasm running down the walls* I wish they would stop *shakes head*
