For many, death is the end, even when they only witness it, the grief maybe too much to bare. For some though, death is just the beginning. The start of something darker or something stronger.

For the prompt thing. This month's theme was death and despite my fanfiction series Mystic Knights of Hidden Light, is a little lighter than the original comic series, it still doesn't shy away from the subject. Far from it actually.  Each of our main heroes do experience that cold touch, one way or another and it shaped their lives forever.

First top left panel: When Johnny was a kid, some thugs broke into his apartment home, killed his parents and set the apartment complex on fire. He is later saved by Lucerne, who help guide him in using his powers and sadly...to darker, miserable state of life.

Second top right panel: Devi witnessing her friend getting killed in a hit in run. This was just a start of Devi's thoughts of being bad luck with people. Eric's sacrifice to save her from a creepy gang, was nearly the last straw until Johnny tries to kill her after she had years of therapy. However, it wouldn't be long after that where she will awaken her true light to save everyone. Speaking of...

Bottom left panel: Eric after he gets stabbed by one of the gang members, while helping Devi escape from them. While he didn't exactly die here, his life as a human was over and thus began his life as a true vampire and eventually a true knight.

Bottom right panel: Tenna in the hospital after her grandmother dies. I was going to have her holding her grandmother's hand but I didn't like the angle it was in. This was one of the few times where Tenna couldn't cheer anyone up and felt like she let her siblings down for not being able to cheer em up. However, this is also a time where Tenna realizes that her family still supported her and no one blamed her, even when she was alone. She would vow to follow her grandma's advice in keeping her head up high even in times of grief, though it's okay to cry sometimes. Yay for symbolism!

While I didn't show any body in any of the scenes, (was going to for Johnny but got a little lazy), I figured the point is still there. Kinda like how Disney does it. Disney has a whole list of characters that die off screen. You don't have to show it to know it's there.
