Von Ick studied the map and looked at his daughter skeptically. "I am not sure," he said, "that this is wise. Why risk infiltrating a facility as heavily guarded as that one for such minimal benefit?"

The Black Pussycat smiled. "As much as it might pain you to admit it, Father, some of the ones in there are just as skilled, if not more so in certain areas, than you are. If we are to take the city before the government can react, it must be decisive, and that means being prepared for all contingencies." She paused and regarded him thoughtfully. "Are you afraid for my safety?"

Von Ick chuckled. "Your safety is of minimal concern. No, Miranda, I have faith in your abilities. After all, I gave them to you. My concern is alerting our enemies before the blow can be struck. Still..." He rubbed his jaw and considered. "Perhaps you are correct. It would both enhance our forces and weaken theirs when it is time."

There was silence in the room for several seconds. "Very well, Miranda. I approve your plan. However, I insist you take your personal guard with you."

Miranda's face broke into a wide grin as she glanced over her shoulder. Her former companions, the Action Cats, stood dutifully at ease, ignoring the conversation and awaiting orders from their superior. Pink Pussycat, Kitten, Clawdette, and Prowl. It would be...nostalgic...to once more take to the night with them.

"Oh, very well father. If you insist."

Von Ick rolled his eyes and sighed.
