very different on white background.
easier to see drawer details... but may be less dramatic effect than set in space.
it has a nice "scale model" effect (nice, I insist)

You're so right, white bg is very good for understanding shapes! Grey is amazing too, but may be a bit less presentational.

RUM GENERATING MACHINE INCLUDED SOOOOOOLD! This looks awesome! It looks like the ship has been roughed up a bit but that makes it look amazing! I really love how you make the lights glow, it is really eye catching!

You're exactly right! Ship is really rough on the edges, quite a weary one. And that light glow is quite a constant feature of my style. Probably I should experiment with a crispier glow outline and smaller glow radius.
