I used to work as a security guard at a scrapyard. I was calling in my report one night and saw a young man walking half drunk down the street in nothing but a tee shirt, and jeans. It was snowing hard, but I was out in the mess because we were not allowed inside the buildings. I turned away from the guy for a second, and when I turned back, he was gone. I didn't think nothin of it till the snow began to melt a few days later. They found him in a ditch where he'd fallen, and froze to death, not fifty yards from where I had been standing on the pay phone. I've hated snow ever since, but I love your pic.

Yeah, I just hate snow because of it. I used to feel guilty because of it, but not now. It was just one of those things.

I really like this one. I love the subtle reflection of the snow covered branches on the water. It reminds me that I am looking forward to winter and snuggling by a warm fire while watching it snow outside.

Thank god we don't have a fireplace, I'd really be in a dep mood then!!! I must confess, there is that evening snowfall, the one with the large flakes, and the perfect stillness in the air...the only sound is your breathing...I love that, and the occasional blizzard, where everything comes to a halt...or like you said, slows down, catches its breath ...
