Mo was rereading Inkheart again. Seven year old Meggie walked in and he shut the book immediately. Meggie wanted to know what he was reading, but he never let Meggie see the book, let alone read it. For a week she bothered him about the "secret book", trying to find it while he wasn't looking, and almost succeeded once, until Mo looked at her one day, really looked at her, and asked her to not talk about it again. She was unhappy for awhile, but then, slowly, she forgot it entirely.And for that, Mortimer was thankful.
AH! I love Cornelia Funke and Inkheart!
