Description I worked on this for a really long time. I'm not sure if I'm done with it, but I think I'm happy with it at this point. This is my last piece done for school! It has to be good.

It's an illustration of Miles Davis' Second Great Quintet which featured Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Tony Williams and Wayne Shorter. I love them.

Very nice work Teddy!

The composition is beautiful! I think what is really neat is the somewhat skewed perspective on the piano and the drum set. It adds a bit of whimsy, for lack of better wording.

I watched your video, and I'm going to say that I actually like the image un-cropped. Or perhaps I'd like to see a little more of the piano in there because it's so strange.

But goodness, this image does have soul. I think the expressions on their faces really push that too. Excellent work!

Thanks, Lauren. Yeah, I like both cropped and uncropped. I might get the uncropped printed just cause.

I like how close you placed them, as if you were showing how tightly they played together.

dude, I'm seriously amazed at how many sketches with the poses you did before going with the final one.. I beleive there was like, 10 of them?

when I draw my shit, I can sometimes go without a sketch, or do like 1-2 sketches max and roll with what I got from that.
maybe I should take the more patient approach haha .

Haha, I guess I don't usually do that. I did it this time because I wanted this to be perfect. And it still isn't exactly perfect... But I'm happy with it.
My teacher for this course loves for us to do millions of sketches and planning, though... So he'll be proud.
