My professional goal is to become a Donald Duck comic artist! I have applied several times but I haven't been approved yet. But you can be sure I will keep trying over and over again. Drawing the Disney ducks is my passion in life!

I can tell you are being influenced by Don Rosa. Maybe you are trying to mimick his style a bit too actively? Don't be afraid of showing something more personal and spontaneous.
If this is what you do naturally, then keep it up, and don't be afraid to experiment!

It’s easy to see that I’m influenced by Don Rosa. But actually I’m not trying to mimick his style. It’s just the way I draw. But I want to draw more spontaneous and I want to experiment more. Hopefully you will see progress in future drawings. Thanks for the constructive criticism!

Ah, okay, sorry if I assumed that.
Yes, it is important to balance the spontaneity and the focus when drawing. I am personally more influenced by the Cavazzano style and am struggling to make my drawings feel both lively, spontaneous and with a solid structure.

It's okay, I understand why people assume that. Yes, it's a challange to make the drawings both feel lively and to make a solid structure. It's just to keep practicing to find the right balance. Regarding Cavazzano, my favorite comic of his is "The Man Who Drew Ducks" in which a girl  interviews Barks about the ducks. A great tribute to the master! Have a nice weekend!

Oh yes, it was a nice tribute comic!

I grew on Cavazzano comics, along with the De Vita ones in the same publication... I did not see so much Barks comics as Vicar ones in the main Disney comic magazine I read.

Vicar's comics were very common in the Swedish Donald Duck magazine too. I had the luck to meet Vicar and his wife in Malmo 2004! He was a very nice man!

For me, the Vicar-drawn Donald comics were the "classic" ones, because they were the ones I saw the most.
