This song is so beautiful, and everytime I hear it I get tis aquatic scene in my head.
Didn't think I had it in me.
My magnum opus. Feel free to critique.

First off, I have to say that I really like what you did with the jelly fish and the water. :3 The direction of the light leads me to believe that the girl is really at an angle, correct?
I also really like the idea of the picture. A girl swiming with jellyfish. A frieghtening idea XD but then again, the girl looks pretty calm and fearless there, so I doubt that she cares of the possibilites of injury.
The jelly fish at the lower left corner is definately my favourite. 
The only thing with the girl that I find a little off are her arms--the direction they're going. They both just look a little off, as do the shading of the arms.
I suggestion I have would be that you know light can play around in the water and do all sorts of crazy aquatic lines on the surface of anything in the water, under the light? Just an idea if you ever feel like doing another aquatic picture. XDD

he's actually supposed to be a jellyfish in the form of a girl. You see her curled hair and the tassels on her gown? She is a jellyfish.

Yes, definetly. Her arms are....it's just my pure laziness. I could have redrawn them, I just didn't feel like it. I can do better.
I wanted to, and I think for this picture I didn't experiment nearly as much as I should have. I really should have included the reflections of light from the surface. I was just in a hurry to post it XD
Yes, it was very helpful. I'll start spending more time on my work. I have to practice what I preach, and not make art FOR deviantart.

where did you learn to paint like that? my painting consists of the pen tool, and FAIL.
Only thing i see bad about this, really, is the blockyness of the black hair in some spots. Like you swapped from the brush tool, to the block tool.

I thought that too. like her hair is just a big clump. Specially towards the tips of her hair.
I think, line art wise I meant for there to be a braid or a ponytail kinda joint at the end.

The love the colours in the picture. I probably would have used a pink because that's what I think when I think of jelly fish, but I like the blue much more because it blends in with the picture making it smooth and soft like the music.
