One of my favorite NPC's from Skyward Sword. I almost drew Karane but I figured there'd be more attention and fanart of her already.So yeah. Orielle, ain't she pretty? V:

No, but most the commentary was on her looks, and I had no idea what gender anyone was. It just struck me as odd that her personality didn't come into it at all. Orielle seems popular, but she doesn't really -do- much. Less integral a role than say, Malon or Medli. I was curious why she'd captivated people so.

M'sorry if I'm coming off as rude, but it frustrates me when people comment on my art and nowhere in their comment do they give me any feedback or critique on the actual art.
If she's popular I didn't know that. I even said in my artist's comment I drew her over Karane because I figured she wasn't getting as much love.
I like Orielle's design, and I WISH there had been more interaction. Maybe those are some reasons I decided I wanted to do some fan art of her.
And I don't know what your argument is with Malon and Medli. They have a whole load of fan art made of them out there. Compared to Orielle I bet it looks like she has nothing.

Oh, I'm certain Malon has plenty of artwork. Medli? I'm not so sure. My point was that they, at least, -did- things in their respective games. From what I can tell, Orielle has one brief side quest. Of course, fan cults have been built on less, haven't they?
I apologize for my previous ire, it was spontaneous and silly. Your artwork is good. Nice, bright colors, the background isn't overwhelming, yet captures the soft idealism of Skyloft. Now, I mean, I'm not really happy with her embellished figure, but that's my opinion as a scrawny woman. I can't really fault a man, I suppose, for focusing on the girly bits. I've noticed your ladies tend to be ah.... "generous". I'd be interested to see a variety of figures, male and female, to really assess your talent.

I used a reference from the game, and used a very soft brush to try to get the colors right. It took a long time to finish it though xD

ahw this is really pretty, and I like how you use your painting style to do the background and your other to do the character. it works really well together. I also really think the colors are pastel and lovely. its nice on the eyes. C:

Now here's an underappreciated Skyward Sword character! (Probably because you really get your interaction with her done in the first five minutes of the game...) But still I like her and I like your take on her too. She's quite lovely; make me go, "Zelda who?"

Skyward Sword kinda went overboard (though not necessarily in a bad way) with the romance and sexual elements, lol. Most of the characters were (IMO) deliberately attractive, and the romance elements were pretty strong throughout the game. Good move on Nintendo's part, though. Fans go crazy over that stuff... shipping and hot characters.
