Description Individualism

Perhaps one may be small in size,
To change the lasting light of earth,
The past is full of those who have,
Made it into the halls of time.

Each action rests in the hands of one,
People that led others through life,
A villain or hero they were back then,
as history shows them till now.

Actions of those long disappeared or forgotten,
Include the world wars and destruction,
Past hard time and good throughout history,
One choice can lead to Prosperity to a toll.

Do not imagine yourself different,
Honor the choices and legacy of those before you,
They have shaped everything you know,
From literature to art to science.

They were the individuals who were misunderstood,
Considered different and strange,
Perhaps in the wrong era such as Galileo, Pythagoras, and Whitaker
Who forever leave their mark on history itself.

The men and women's names we remember,
The actions that every child knows and memorizes,
Such as Washington's crossing of the Delaware River
One choice can impact an entire future.

"Past hard time and good throughout history" this one line is just a little awkward in phrasing. I'm not entirely sure how I myself would phrase it, but just wanted to put that out there.

I really love the meaning of this poem. Very deep, personal, and easy to relate to. You have a gift, never stop writing.

I'm really interested in what would be the result if you were to write something besides poetry. More story-like. I think you could really become a good author. It's good to experiment with different areas of writing.
