It's been a while since a new picture of Hama graced this gallery, but I'm glad to say that there will be at least three new commissioned pictures of her arriving soon (and maybe more). This is the first, and perhaps the most unique depiction of Hama to date, courtesy of the talented unded .

What can I say about this picture other than how amazing it is. Every artist brings something new to Hama, interpreting her in new and different ways. This is no exception, and is practically a photo-realistic Hama, as if she stepped into real life, or has had an actress cast to play her in a film. And it's such a perfect encapsulation of her heart and soul - gentle, kind, and willing to place herself and her power into the hands of one she considers worthy. Her colours feel warm and welcoming, her eyes are deep and captivating, her posture is one of strength but also of self-control.

The linework and colours are really something, but it is the shading that sets things apart. That subtly delineated musculature truly sells Hama's physical transformation, her superhuman grace and vitality - she looks like she could tear a phone-directory in half without resorting to using her magic!

it is, quite simply, an amazing piece.

Hama of the Lamp (Part 1)
THE PRESENT DAY
A University Somewhere in Jordan
A dry breeze blew through the open windows, carrying the smells of the city market into the shared apartment. The scents of food and spices filled the air, and the last rays of the evening sun glinted on every mote of dust that danced between floor and ceiling.
The light shone brightest of all on an oil lamp, one that sat on a carved wooden stand in the centre of the room. Both seemed out of place compared to the rest of the apartment, furnished as it with whatever could be scavenged from market stalls or university thrift stores. The golden rays reflected off the polished surface of the lamp, scattering flecks of light across the walls, which were decorated with posters, lecture notes and project timetables.
The dancing rays seemed to linger briefly on a photograph, pinned in the centre of a corkboard over two desks that flanked the sole window. It showed two young women smiling for the camera, arms round each other’
