Description
Fluffy fuzzball of fire and coal! Cross foxes are a color variant of the Red Fox (Vulpes vulpes). This color occurs when the fox has more melanin (pigment) than the more common red fox, but less than the silver fox. They're one of my favorite red fox color morphs, with bright oranges and contrasting blacks like fire and coal.This girl here is a life-size cross fox plush in a fluffy winter-style coat, made with faux fur fabrics and stuffed with polyester stuffing and weights in her feet. Hand-painted acrylic safety eyes and thread-sculpted faux leather nose and eyelids. Colored in some places with Copic markers. Made with essentially the same pattern as my other foxes (with slight adjustments), she's floppy and posable but contains no wire or armature so she's super cuddly. This fox was made for my personal collection. A cross fox has been my plan since the beginning, but with 14 individual fur types, it took me some time to acquire all the right fabrics.

Thank you! I absolutely love these fabrics, they're so gorgeous and soft. But expensive... You can definitely tell they aren't real furs in the Cross Fox WIP Collage though, the woven backing gives them away.

Boy is she beautiful! And I mean beautiful! I truly love the colors, and the pattern of the markings you went with! Also the face detailing is just incredibly amazing. Gosh this plush is just gorgeous! Hope to be able to commission you sometime for a plush of my fox character.
