Three Billion people died and I did nothing,

I am a traiter, a vile Judas who betrayed those closest to her.
There was a time where I searched for a greater role, and a place to belong.
How was I to know that my actions would set into motion the very end of the world.

I sought forgivness for my sins and sacrificed myself for those who might've called me 'friend.'
I overthrew my master, Slade, and sent him to the depths of hell for all eternity.
But the consequence was to trap myself in a prison of earth and stone, till the end of time.

I do not know how much time has passed or how I was released,
but I awoke to a world beyond my deepest nightmares
a world ravaged by humans, demons, and storms; Chaos.

Fighting for my survival I searched for my friends and a place to call home
I destroyed many foes in my search for answers and companionship
Through my trials a dark truth was revealed to me.

For you see, my actions brought a true hell on Earth.
It is my doing
It is my fault…

Terra, after her release, discovered that her final, courageous act of self-sacrifice had burned her power away and left her a normal human being in a world where those without power are enslaved or slaughtered. To make matters worse the armor she wore, the armor that Slade had given to her, was impossible to remove.

Slade knew that Terra would eventually betray him, so he had placed into Terra's suit a failsafe device that would release hundreds of 'needles,' constructed out of millions of nanobots each, all of which pierced her body and took over her central nervous system. Giving Slade complete control over his unwilling apprentice.

However Terra resisted Slade's control and destroyed him. No longer did she have to worry about being used as a weapon against her friends. But the suit remains grafted to her body. Maybe through extensive surgery, the suit might be lifted from her skin, but there no longer remains a hospital or doctor with the technology or knowhow to perform such a dire task.

So the armor remains biologically fused, a constant reminder of her sins for all to see.
