TWH 05 - Special Guests!TEE: "So to kick off this new and fresh take of 'Tee with Hitomi...' ...... Well okay, this was meant to be a little joke I had, but also an awesome gag idea for possible guest cameos in a part of the Ganbatte, Hitomi-chan! storyline." *sweats* "Really sorry for drawing you guys without your permission and hope this doesn't offends you in any way." *shy smiles* "But seriously, we thought wouldn't it just be awesome, if we could have these people showing up in our story as celebrity guest cameos, eh?"
Hitomi-chan: *sighs* "Geez, seriously, Tee-sempai... You're going to get us both into trouble by drawing other people like this." *smiles nervously* "Ah, but uh, still; We hope everyone enjoys this new segment and we're really sorry if we drew you guys wrongly; Angie-sempai, Cera-sempai and JK-sempai!" *bows apologetically* "But to be honest, we wouldn't mind at all if if you suddenely appeared in our story at some point." *shy smiles*

Yeah, I originally planned my Ganbatte, Hitomi-chan! manga to make use of references to other official anime/manga characters and even OC's here in dA. However, we then thought why just do OC's when we could also go for artists themselves! After all, comic writers like you, Cera and Angie are like celebrities to Hitomi-chan in her world
Hitomi-chan: "Yay, thank you so much for the permissions, JK-sempai!" *shy smiles* "Eh-heh, I don't even know if Tee-sempai will decide to draw more panels, but we'd be thrilled to see you three again in our manga if you're okay with that." *sighs* "Ah, but my series universe is a little wacky, so I hope you guys don't mind the random crazy stuff that happens there..."

Yes, you're right in that it's a phrase normally for toasting to one's health and well-being (i.e. when drinking). In the UK, we use 'cheers' as a slang term, though I tend to usually say this as another meaning for 'thanks' or 'okay.' However, it can very well mean 'goodbye,' 'best wishes,' 'no problem' and many others depending on the context of the conversation

Really now? I guess I learn something new everyday. I've seen a few articles and videos about English slang and I tell you, it is a million miles different than American slang. I recognized NONE OF IT.
I went to France for an international fencing competition and met a girl from England. She won all of her bouts and I told her she pwned. She looked at me like I was crazy. "pwn?"
I didn't even know that slang was exclusive to America until then. >.<
pwn, pwnage- (pronounced pown) ownage. When you completely destroy something, but not in a literal sense. More or less "showing whose boss".
ex: "Germany beat America in a World Cup 7-0!"

It's easily justifiable as the nature of this manga series thrives on culture references, comedy and in-jokes within our company and friends
