Wake me up from this fractured dreamFrom my broken realities
Pull me out of this fast paced life
I've seen my share of war and strife
And tears that flood the streets, and wash away the future
Wake me up from all I was
From every fantasy I thought was true
Pull me out of the car before I crash it
I've seen and been through death and pain
Isn't that life on the other side so much sweeter?
Wake me up to all I am
To smiles and laughter
Pull me aside and share with me your happiness and your hopes
Your dreams and aspirations
I can never have my fill of friendship
The good ones are so hard to find and worth hanging onto
Wake me up from all these lies
Pull me away from all the truths
I've seen in between, it isn't a life I wish to lead
Ask of me your questions, and have in me your faith
That with encouragement I can be everything I have in me
I can share all that I am, and I can blossom into a flower instead of forever remaining a bud.
Show me your funhouse mirror
Break the reflection and reshape it into what it should be
Be not afraid to scream, cry yell or sigh
Shard the misunderstood, and live openly and on the wild side
Shed tears with out fear of persecution, and scream loudly with hopes of redemption
Sing, lift your voice and shout to the sky what you want
Swing on a star and make wishes that are outrageous and ridiculous and all too true.
Be forever what makes you good and kind, never change your out or in side.
And as long as you do
I will be there and do the same for you

You kind of took it and ran with it into the sunset, which was not a bad thing. But It ranges over so many topics that it's hard to foucus on it. Very nice otherwise though, loving the zig-zags.

... that's an unusual idea. By turning the mirror away from the other person, and towards you, it's you that will be seen in the mirror. There's a lot to be said for looking inside ourselves, and of sometimes being afraid of what we see there.
For the most part I have to say I don't much like this, it's too morbid-sounding in places, and I can't really find the justification for the Spiritual categorisation. Just my thoughts, of course.

You did a really good job, and don't worry about not updating in a while, a true artist would understand that inspiration isn't always on our sides. Getting how we feel on paper is often harder than it seems
