Most likely not. halloween Horror Nights, to my knoledge, hasn't based anything off a true story and for the ORIGINAL story of Jack which was released...I wanna say 2000? Not sure but when he first came out the story was slightly different and he's actually dead. So I do doubt it.

well in the true story it was just a gang of killers that worked in a circus
as clowns and they would kidnap people after the show they were just caught a year before Hollywood created jack it was on a web page i found on googel

Leather face is only real to an extent. The movie is still an exageration of a family that where cannables but yes there is some truth. Perhaps there is some truth to Jack. I plan on working at HHN one year so I'll know then.

Actually, Leatherface is based off a man who lived in Wisconsin, his name was Ed Gein. Ed Gein also inspired Norman Bates from "Psycho" So truly, never believe the "BASED ON A TRUE STORY" Bull shit Hollywood tries to pull. I'm positive that Jack was simply made up by Universal, just like "The Director"
