"Hello World" is a very simple script run by Operating System writers. They type "Hello" and the response is, typically, "Hello World."
Isn't that the joke?

Well, typically the first thing a programmer learns to do in a language is output "Hello World" to the screen... which is the "joke".

Right.
And the things I typed were command prompts, depending on the script you are using.

I've never seen them before x) What scripts are they from?

The first two are common IRC, java and game commands.
The third is a command trigger for Windows, where "Hello" would be the name of the .exe

I don't really use IRC, so I can't comment there XD but I do Java development at Uni and I've never come across !hello and /hello =\ If anything !hello reads "not hello" to me XD
Okay, run: Hello makes sense to me now - been so long since I used that though XD... but with Win7, I just have to type the name into Search - which is beautiful <3

Yeah or open the run command in XP, which does "run" for you.
And the !hello and /hello are typically user commands that trigger the "Hello Script." I see /hello everywhere. O.o
It's to distinguish between a normal "Hello" and the command. IRC uses !, or @, depending on what's programed.

It is so fun, he's gonna go to Kindergarten and they'll have no clue what he's on about. Besides, he is a computer genius boy! We just downloaded Dungeon Defenders and he's all whipping through the menus and telling us what everything does and says. He basically presses every key and memorizes whatever he did.

It's sooo hard! You really need to play groups. The Ogre in the second map has 25,000 hp when in the demo, he only had 6,000! It's fun and cute, we had to dim the color saturation a bit, too vivid, wears on the eyes after a while. Maybe I'm just old, getting migraines from video games.

Oh damn =\ that's not good. I can't say I've got a migraine from them yet, but when I do, I'll probably cry myself to death XD I NEED MY VIDJA GAMES!

It's the screen, we moved it forward since the second monitor died, so prolonged sitting with the bright screen in my face, then add vivid colors and attack sound effects, flashing things... And a silly kid running around excited about the game ;D
