I love the dark coloring, it gives this a really menacing feel.

Thanks for the comment! Gotta love those sandworms. I didn't see one looking quite so menacing during the daytime.

I'm such a Dune geek that I live on Arrakis in my spare time. Seriously. XD (A virtual one of course.)

Hope you've been well, it's been a while!

Same goes for you my friend. Which is your favourite Dune production, btw?

My favorite's the SciFi version, as, I think they conveyed the book much more accurately than Lynch's, although his was fun. But, Lynch made something of a travesty of my favorite characters, where, the SciFi version got the Harkonnen dead-on. The Baron was PERFECT. <3333 He's my favorite, so, naturally, loved that one, and own it.

But, if the Jodorowsky version had ever been made, that one would unquestionably be the favorite. Pink Floyd on the soundtrack, Orson Welles as the Baron, Mick Jagger as Feyd, HR Giger designing the Harkonnen sets. . . it would have been something extraordinary. A shame it never got done.

Im inclined to agree with you about the Jodorowsky version, but on the other hand.... if that had gone ahead, we never would have gotten the movie Alien. So take the good with the bad eh?

At the moment im really into the Alan Smithee version - way better than the first cut of the Lynch release, to be sure. I really like the soundtrack by Toto, and Sting as Feyd Ruatha (he plays the stylish psychopath rather well, dont you think? )

Still... I think im going to watch the SciFi version again ^_^

I just can't quite see where Alien, as great as it was, would be quite up to that insane vision of Dune. But I am all crazy fanboy about Dune, so can't help the bias. I'm amazed I've never written fanfics, my obsession's just that bad.

Sting did make a pretty Feyd, but, Feyd wasn't a psychopath at all in the books. He didn't have an issue with killing people, but, in Harkonnen culture this would be normal, and not psychopathic. Rabban was the closest to a psychopath of the main three Harkonnen chars, although even he's more just a thug. Piter's the psychopath. XD

Dune fanart's always a fun fanart choice. Although, I dunno if "fanart" is really the best term for book-related art, and DA should consider providing an "illustrations" category instead. I really enjoy the challenge of attempting to illustrate the scenes and characters as the author intended.

This is just nit-pickery, but don't they have three jaws?

I love the curve of its back where it's turning and the rock forms in the foreground frame it nicely.

I've seen multiple interpretations, anywhere from two to four. XD So I just went with what seemed to look intimidating. Thanks for the comment! Always are appreciated.
