Description Okay, one more figure for now. This is my (heavily customized) action figure of my Halo Reach Spartan, as she appears in-game. Like my other Reach figures, she's completely hand-painted, right down to the tiny Unicorn emblem on the collar. The ODST helmet is from one the extra armor sets, and the Gungnir knee armor is from the ODST action figure. The UA/Buckler on the wrist was fabricated from styrene plastic, and the FJ/PARA shoulders and UA/NxRA thigh-plate are resin casts made from other figures. The knife on the collar was pirated from a spare chestplate.

I'm especially pleased with how the "chipped paint" effects on this figure turned out. Not too heavy, just noticeable enough. This is certainly my favorite among my custom action figures.

The shoulders are resin casts? No spare FJ/PARA shoulders from any Kat figure or air assault armor pack?

Nice work by the way My Reach spartan look very similar and i love it lol

I ended up going with resin casting because the upper arms on the female Reach Spartan figure didn't have the standard shoulder armor connectors. Β I didn't want to risk messing up any of the "real" parts with attempted modifications to make them fit.

Based on what you linked, it looks like you've got a decent grasp of the fundamentals. Β It looks like you're no stranger to using dark-washes to bring out the details.

I'd recommend adding a bit of dry-brushing on the plating sections, using the same base colors, in order to soften the appearance of the wash (especially on the blue arm).

A few years back, I put together a little tutorial showing how I paint my figures, which can be found here:Β tekka-croe.deviantart.com/art/…

(it also explains what dry-brushing is, in case you don't know. Β The tutorial says this as well, but I really can't reiterate it enough: do notΒ use a nice brush for dry-brushing. Β It's a really rough process, and it messes up a brush over time.)

My only other recommendation is to be a bit more selective when applying washes. Β I generally focus in on recessed areas and panel lines / grooves when doing washes, instead of working it over the whole surface. Β It takes longer, but I feel that the results are worth it.

Oh, I love this game, been playing a lot recently. I was thinking of kit bashing my own version of Noble Six like you. Great work! I am very impressed by the unicorn emblem!

Interesting work is very similar to the model console. The details are must precise.

Very well. ^^

I would have gone with Grenadier knees to more better match the shoulders. of course as it is now it matches the UA buckler somewhat.

This is a pretty good paint job, definitely gives Noble Six's armor the look like it's been around the block a few times.
